IGNOU Provisional Admission 2023

In case you have completed your 10+2 or equivalent exams and are awaiting the final mark sheet, you can still apply for provisional admission to IGNOU.

Candidates taking admission on a provisional basis have to submit all the required documents by the due date set by IGNOU officials. Failure to submit the necessary documents may lead to the cancellation or rejection of admission.

It is important to note that students who wish to pursue two educational degrees from IGNOU should be aware that the university does not allow admission to two distance degree programs simultaneously. IGNOU offers admission twice a year. For the January cycle, admission forms can be submitted between November and January, while for the July cycle, the application period is from May to August. Registration:

  • If you are a new student, click on the New Registration Link to proceed ahead.
  • Fill up the registration form, including Username, Candidate’s Name, Email, Mobile Number, Password, and Captcha Code, and click on register to successfully register for the portal.
  • Your username and password will reach you through SMS on the number you have provided.

Login to Fill Online Application:

  • Login again using the details to fill out the admission form.
  • Check the program for which you are applying and click on it.
  • While filling out the admission form, ensure that you mention every detail with utmost consciousness to avoid errors or delay.
  • Ensure that the photograph and signature uploaded are 100KB in size and JPG format.
  • Read the declaration form and click on the checkbox to accept it.
  • Validate the data or details entered on the admission form and rectify any mistakes.
  • Pay the fee using the online payment mode, such as net banking, debit/credit card, etc.
  • Wait for the SMS confirming successful fee payment.
  • Verify the form once again and take a hard copy of the submitted admission form. The next step would be to download and save the form on your laptop or PC for future use.

Required Documents for IGNOU Admission

To take admission in IGNOU, you will need to submit the following documents. You can also submit them in scanned format:

  1. Photographs (passport size)
  2. A valid identity card
  3. Birth certificate
  4. Category certificate
  5. Experience certificate
  6. Academic certificate
  7. BPL certificate
  8. Signature

Note that the photograph and signature must be less than 100kb while all other documents must be less than 200kb.

IGNOU Admission Fees and Refund Policy 2023: The university receives one-time registration fees at the time of taking admission in IGNOU for the first year or semester of a particular program. The registration fee is non-refundable. IGNOU program fees are refundable under some circumstances if the student cancels their admission to IGNOU within a given period.

Here are the refund policies:

  1. If a student cancels their admission to IGNOU before the last date of admission, they will receive 100% refund of their program fees by deducting the registration fees of Rs 200.
  2. If the student cancels their admission within 15 days after the closing of the admission session, they will receive the course fees by deducting the amount of Rs 500.
  3. If the admission is canceled within 30 days after the last date of admission, then the amount of Rs 1000 is deducted from the program fees.
  4. If the admission is canceled after 30 days from the last date of admission, then no refund will be issued to the student.

Payment Methods: You can pay the admission fees using the following methods:

  2. Net Banking
  3. Bank Draft (DD)
  4. Cash Challan

If Your Form Still Showing Incomplete After Payment of Fees: If you have already paid your admission fees but the form still shows incomplete or asks you to pay the fees again, you can email the online department of admission at [email protected] and [email protected] with your payment details and control number to get updated on your fee status online.

IGNOU Admission Status 2023: Once you have completed all your admission procedures and paid the fees, you may have to wait some time to get a confirmation message from your regional center regarding your application. Candidates will be able to check their application status post 10 days from the registration date to get the status for it. The max duration for the verification of your documents is 40 working days.

IGNOU Online Courses Admission 2023

IGNOU University has announced the online admission for 34 online programs so the students who want to complete the program through online mode can now take fresh admission in the January 2023 session.
